Adaptation to Relation - A Collective Video-based Exploration, 2024
Experiencing the city through dance performances
Adaptation to Relation, (2024) is a video exhibition featuring various parts from the performance How Now Becomes Then, designed by Şiva Canbazoğlu and İlayda Evgin.
Using the time-integrated urban spaces around Eminönü, Turkey, the exhibition offers an experience that transcends time and space, directed and edited by me. It invites viewers to reflect on the traces we leave behind by exploring the relationship between the city and the body.

Continual
Continual, (2025) is a 10-minute video work that explores the physical and mental transformations triggered by fear and panic. Shot in a laboratory setting, it captures a chemical reaction that forms a gel-like substance—metaphorically reflecting the inner shift during a panic attack. For the artist, these moments are linked to societal insecurity, where rising tension causes a disconnection from reality, accompanied by breathlessness, dizziness, and a racing heart.

Using sunlight on water, it creates a hypnotic visual world where surface and depth symbolize the dialogue between external experiences and inner transformation.

Dreams of Nowhere (2025) , is a 3-minute video exploring settlement and belonging through the relationship between the body, space and city. Filmed in the parking lot of Galeria designed prison-like, Istanbul’s first shopping mall, the video reflects on the mall's history and abandoned state.

Faces
When a person begins to lose her memory, does her presence in this world gradually disappear? What will her memories, emotions and feelings happen? Or can this state of forgetfulness be curative for some situations?
Looking for answers to these questions, Faces (2022) short documentary examines the interaction of memory, time and space in a visual context based on the experiences of director’s grandmother who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s 16 years ago.

There
Drawing on Maurice Merleau-Ponty, the development of our inner world, senses, and perception is only possible through the experience of our environment.
In the photo series titled There, the artist seeks to create a relationship between the body and the camera in her hand, the viewer’s presence in the exhibition space, and their visual perception. By positioning the viewer as if they were the lens, she offers a meditative and ritualistic environmental experience, allowing the audience to feel “there” through witnessing certain moments encountered while walking.
